Assessment Solutions

The clarity you need to propel your life forward.

A psychological assessment is one of the best tools available to accelerate your personal growth.

In just a few weeks, you can gain a wealth of information about yourself that would otherwise require months – or even years – in traditional therapy.

Where are You Feeling Stuck:

Do I have ADHD, Autism, or a Learning Disorder?
Why is it so hard for me to focus and get my work done? Why do I have to work so hard just to do what others seem to accomplish effortlessly? Why do I struggle to connect with others and feel left out so often?
Why do I feel burntout all the time?
Why am I constantly overwhelmed, exhausted, or struggling to cope with work-related pressures?
Where should I go with my career?
Why has my job performance suffered so much recently? Why can’t I make decisions quickly or effectively anymore? Where should I go with my career?
Why do I keep making the same mistakes in relationships?
Why do I keep having the same arguments with my partner? Why is it so difficult to feel close to others? Why do I keep ending up in conflicts with my family, friends, and co-workers?
Why do I feel so depressed and anxious all the time?
Why do I feel sad all the time and constantly worry about every little thing? Why is it so hard to stay motivated?
How was I affected by past traumatic experiences?
How have my traumatic experiences shaped who I am? What can I do to overcome them moving forward?
Why is parenting so difficult for me?
Why am I constantly overwhelmed by my child’s behavior? How can I provide discipline and structure while maintaining a positive relationship with my children?
Why do I find self-care so difficult?
Why can’t I stick to a consistent sleep and exercise routine? Is my stress contributing to my physical health problems and chronic pain?

How an assessment can help?

Our primary goal during an assessment is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to make positive changes in your life. A psychological assessment can accurately diagnose your mental health difficulties and provide guidance for treatment – but that is not all!

Benefits of a Psychological Assessment

  • Accurately diagnose your mental health difficulties
  • Uncover underlying causes of emotional struggles
  • Create strategies for managing stress
  • Shed light on factors influencing your professional growth
  • Provide insights into your interpersonal dynamics
  • Identify and address the impact of your traumatic experiences
  • Overcome obstacles to leading a healthy lifestyle
  • Develop effective communication skills
  • Enhance your ability to build positive relationships
  • Identify clinical interventions to promote healing and resilience

How is our approach to assessment different?

We believe that the primary goal of testing is to help us understand who you are as a person. We consider your lived experience alongside the test data, using it to guide our interpretation of the results. Many psychological reports are lengthy – full of unnecessary information and technical jargon. We explain the results in ordinary language and focus the reports on how you can use the results to facilitate personal growth and transformation.

Standard approach to Assessment

  • Main goal is to diagnose disorders and plan treatment
  • Test taker can only offer feedback at the end of the testing
  • Report focused on understanding the test data
  • Focus is on identifying weaknesses
  • The assessment report is lengthy and includes lots of technical jargon

Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment

  • Main goal is to facilitate self-awareness and personal growth
  • Test taker actively offers feedback throughout the testing to contextualize results
  • Report focused on understanding the lived experience of the test taker
  • Focus is on discovering new ways of thinking, feeling, and being
  • Reports are brief, written in plain language, and incorporate the test taker’s voice

How does the Assessment Work?

Step 1 – Initial Interview

During the interview, we will identify the obstacles that are inhibiting your personal growth and clarify the areas of your life that you would like to understand better.

Step 2 – Testing

Based on the issues identified during the interview, we will select specific psychological tests that can provide deeper insights into your unique situation. Some tests will reaffirm what you already know about yourself, while others will reveal blind spots or areas you may not have considered.

Step 3 – Write Draft Report

Within 2-3 weeks of the testing, a draft report is written that will directly address the specific issues identified during the interview and highlight the insights gathered through the testing.

Step 4 – Feedback Session

We will review the test results and examine the draft report together. I will gather your feedback on the report, and that feedback will be incorporated into the final draft.

Step 5 – Finalize Report

Approximately 3-4 weeks following our last session, a final copy of the report will be written. This final copy incorporates your feedback, ensuring that your voice is honored in the assessment results and that the test results speak directly to your lived experience.

Step 6 (Optional) – Follow Up Sessions

In some cases it is appropriate to have 2-3 follow up sessions to discuss how your life has evolved since our work together, allowing us to explore any changes, challenges, or reactions you may have experienced in response to the assessment results.
